Detailed Product Description
Ground fluff is stored in an agitated straight-wall rectangular round-bottom storage tank. A variable-speed horizontal trough auger assembly meters the ground fluff into the vertical screw extruder-mounted crammer hopper. Each system includes a standard 50 cu. ft. (1,415 liter) capacity agitated fluff storage tank; however, larger tanks are available and may be required, based on application.
An infrared photo cell controller cycles the horizontal auger assembly to provide a constant head of material around the vertical crammer screw. The vertical screw is a heavy-duty variable-speed hydraulic drive unit with an operator-adjustable rate. A sensor unit shuts down the crammer unit if the extruder screw speed slows below the set point adjustment.
